EM(POWER) Membership Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1 The EM(POWER) Membership is designed to provide individuals and families with access to resources and support to empower and promote independence. 1.2 These terms and conditions outline the rights, responsibilities, and guidelines for EM(POWER) Members.

2. Membership Eligibility

2.1 Membership is open to individuals referred by one of our approved community referral partners or through self-referral. 2.2 Eligibility for the service is discussed on a case-by-case basis. 2.3 Referral partners may include local support organisations, family hubs, and other approved agencies. 2.4 Membership is confidential and designed to empower members through access to resources and support.

3. Membership Benefits

3.1 Access to the EM(POWER) Membership Online Shop, where resources can be exchanged using tokens. 3.2 Each member begins with an initial allocation of 30 tokens. 3.3 Additional tokens can be earned by contributing items in good condition to the designated drop-off locations or purchased if necessary. 3.4 Resources available through the online shop are priced at £ British sterling Pound and tokens, the £ value of which is for administrative purposes only. 3.5 Resources obtained through the EM(POWER) Membership and other RE(YOU)S EX(CHANGE) initiatives are provided in good faith and are intended for personal or family use only. They cannot be sold, traded, or used for commercial purposes. These initiatives are about creating a fair and accessible economy, and we trust members to align with this spirit.

4. Token System

4.1 Tokens are the currency of the EM(POWER) Membership and have no monetary value outside of the platform. 4.2 Tokens can be used to "purchase" items in the EM(POWER) Membership Online Shop. 4.3 Members may purchase additional tokens if needed, but no cap is set on the number of tokens members can hold. 4.4 Tokens can also be earned by contributing resources in good condition that meet the guidelines set out by RE(YOU)S. 4.5 Tokens are not transferable and should only be used by members to benefit themselves and their family members. 4.6 If additional tokens are purchased and an item is returned, a monetary refund is not applicable. Instead, a token will be returned, as the money purchases tokens and not items. 4.7 Tokens purchased are non-refundable, as they represent access to resources and not a physical product. 4.8 Items obtained through the EM(POWER) Membership are non-refundable but are exchangeable for tokens in line with the initiative’s policies. 4.9 Items obtained through tokens can be returned (exchanged), provided they are in their original condition and suitable for re-distribution. The equivalent tokens will be re-credited to the member’s account upon return (exchange). RE(YOU)S reserves the right to refuse returns if items do not meet these criteria. 4.10 Each item is equivalent to one token. The definition of an "item" and its usability value are determined by RE(YOU)S, focusing on its practical use rather than monetary value.

5. Membership Responsibilities

5.1 Members are responsible for:

Members can continue participating in exchange events.

9. Liability and Disclaimers
